The Star City Classic held its third and final day of basketball at the Kinetic Sports Complex in Lincoln on Sunday, and the action was as advertised. Here’s a brief roundup of Nebraska Supreme’s games.
Nebraska Supreme 17UAA 67, KC Run GMC 17U 49
Nebraska Supreme got the 67-49 win behind 13 points from Isaac Traudt (Grand Island) and 12 points from Ben Hunzeker (Lincoln Southwest). Ten players from Supreme found the scoring column. Both Sam Hastreiter (Lincoln Pius X) and Jay Dawson (Omaha Central) each chipped in with eight points.
Traudt’s highlight of the game was a monster put-back dunk on top of KC Run GMC’s Luke Junger (Creighton Prep). Dawson scored all eight of his points in the second half, connecting on two 3s and slamming home a contested dunk.
Supreme came out hot from the field and hit six 3-pointers in the opening half that helped it earn a 35-29 lead at halftime.

KC Run GMC 15U 63, Nebraska Supreme 15UAA 62
After trailing 31-26 at halftime, Supreme fought back and gained a 59-55 edge late in the game following a strong baseline layup from Landon Pokorski (Gretna), who wound up scoring nine points.
Pokorski, a tough guard, had a strong game as he routinely found the open teammate behind the arc after the defense collapsed. Alex Wilcoxsen (Gretna) scored nine points — all off 3s — while KG Gatwech (Lincoln North Star) and Bhan Buom (Lincoln Southwest) both added nine as well.
KC Run GMC’s Andrew Sprague (Leawood, Kan.) grabbed an offensive rebound and got the putback to fall with a little over a second left in the game to seal the 63-62 win.
