Millard North senior Hunter Sallis was named to the 2021 McDonald’s All American team. The rosters were announced Tuesday afternoon on ESPN and Sallis was one of 24 players selected.
The 6-foot-5, Sallis joins Creighton Prep’s Kerry Trotter (1982) as the only other Nebraska boy to be named to the team. Trotter went on to star at Marquette collegiately.
Shelby Rising City’s Chatrice White is the only Nebraska girl to be named to the team in 2014. White played collegiately at Illinois and Florida State.
The game will not be played for the second straight year but the players will be honored virtually.
Sallis, an uncommitted senior has trimmed his list of schools to a top eight. Creighton, Gonzaga, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Oregon and UCLA are all still under consideration. He is scheduled to announce his college choice on March, 26.
