Elkhorn South head boys basketball coach Nolan Riley will be resigning from his position as head coach and elementary teacher to focus on his family.

“It is hard to walk away but my family is relocating and I feel it’s important for me to put my family first,” he said. “Letting my team know today was really hard but the family business is calling me back home.”

Riley will be moving to Central Nebraska with his family to help with the family farm.

Riley took over as head coach of the Storm in 2015-16. In his seven season he compiled an 87-82 record. He led them to two state tournament appearances in 2017 while in Class B and the schools first Class A appearance this season.
