Alex Bullock will join two of his Creighton Prep teammates in Lincoln. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound wide receiver announced his commitment to Nebraska on Monday evening.

“A lot went into it. I already have family down there with my brother (John), two it is close to home and the third one is I’m a pretty competitive guy and so is coach Frost,” Bullock said. “I just see how he is trying to rebuild the program. They (NU) were the only ones consistently showing me love.”

Bullock chose NU over a scholarship offer from South Dakota State and interest from Northern Illinois, Washington State, Dartmouth and Harvard. His personal-best 40-yard dash time is 4.59 seconds. He had a standout senior season with double-digit touchdown receptions (11). 761 receiving yards and 56 total catches.

“I want to go down there and help them,” Bullock said of his commitment to NU. “The players, fans and coaches all deserve to win again so why not go down there and try to make as big of an impact as I can.”

Bullock will join Prep defensive back AJ Collins in NU’s 2021 walk-on class. The duo will join Prep senior tight end AJ Rollins who will be on scholarship at NU.

“It is cool cause not a lot of people get that opportunity. Keeping those relationships and chemistry going is going to be cool. The best part of the class is that we all know each other cause there is a lot of kids in the metro a part of the class. It is cool to keep playing with them.”

With the addition of Bullock, NU’s 2021 walk-on class now sits at 10 known commitments. Bullock joins Collins and Rollins, Ord kicker Kelen Meyer, Ashland-Greenwood running back Mathew Schuster, Millard West tight end Evan Meyersick and Sumner-Eddyville-Miller defensive end Carson Rohde, Hastings quarterback Jarrett Synek, Elkhorn running back Aiden Young, Mount Ayr (Iowa) athlete Payton Weehler and Weeping Water lineman Weston Reiman.
