Papillion-La Vista boys basketball coach Dan Moore in retiring. Moore spent 28 years on the sideline as a head coach, the last nine in Papillion where he led the Monarchs to a 130-92 record including two state tournament appearances and a state runner-up finish in 2017.
Prior to his arrival in Papillion, Moore was the head boys’ basketball coach at North Platte High School for 19 years. In his time at North Platte Moore won over 200 games and took four teams to the state tournament finishing 3rd in 2000.
“Coach Moore’s impact on the game of basketball and players over the past 36 years is immeasurable,” Papillion-La Vista High School Athletic Director, Jason Ryan said in a statement.
Moore will continue to teach at PLHS and assist in the athletic department.
