Millard North senior Saint Thomas, one of the top uncommitted 2021 prospects in the state, if not region, recently announced a commitment date of April 10.
“I really haven’t cut down my list,” Thomas said. “I don’t know where I will commit yet, my recruitment is still open. I just want to know where I’m going so I can move on with the next chapter in my life.”
The 6-foot-7, 219-pounder’s most recent offers have come from Northern Illinois, Albany, Illinois State, Indiana State, Murray State, Old Dominion and Florida Atlantic.
Thomas announced a top seven of Pepperdine, Mississippi State, TCU, SMU, VCU, Richmond and New Mexico in September, prior to the November early signing period.
Of the schools that have offered, Murray State is the school that talks to Thomas the most. Former Racer and current Memphis Grizzlies’ guard Ja Morant has also been in regular contact with Thomas.
Morant quote tweeted Thomas’ highlights from the Class A state championship game, and the pair have been in regular contact.
“I’ve been texting him and he told me he was going to retweet it,” Thomas said. “Really, sometimes he tells me why he liked Murray State and other times it’s more personal and just building a relationship.”

Nebraska, Boston College, Loyola (Chicago) and UW-Milwaukee are a few schools that have been in recent contact with Thomas but haven’t offered yet.
Thomas helped lead Millard North to the school’s first state title earlier this month. Thomas led the Mustangs in average rebounding (7.9), assists (5.2) and was second on the team in scoring (21.2).
“It’s something we worked hard for,” Thomas said. “To finally accomplish that goal was really special.
