Girls Basketball Coaches Poll: Final 2023 Rankings

Each week during the high school basketball season, select coaches from the six Nebraska classes rate the teams in their class and our Tony Chapman compiles the rankings. Here are the final ratings for 2022-23 season.

Class A (Record), Previous

Receiving Votes: Omaha Central (16-10), RV; Lincoln Northeast (14-11), RV.

Comments: Millard South completes their dream season at 27-2 with a few state tournament changes to the top-4 and top-8. Lincoln East and Pius round out the top-10.

Comments: The only change here is the championship game, where Elkhorn North topped Skutt 64-51. Seward and Omaha Duchesne switch spots.

Comments: Four in a row for North Bend Central as they ground their way through a deep state tournament field last weekend. The top-4 follow the tournament, with three 20-wins teams going 5-7. The deepest class in the state, no doubt.

Comments: Pender is our only top team to claim the top spot, but that was never ranked No. 1 in their class during the season. O-C jumps to No. 2 for their tournament run.

Comments: Centura stays on top after a parochial school run to the state title, beating EPPJ, Cedar Catholic and St. Cecilia for the title. S-E-M jumps into the rankings after their state appearance and win over Alma in the district final.
