Each week during the high school basketball season, select coaches from the six Nebraska classes rate the teams in their class and our Tony Chapman compiles the rankings. Here are the ratings for February 20, with records as of games played on Saturday, February 18. Sub-district pairings and districts for Class A and B this week as well as Friday nights district finals coming in Classes C and D.

Class A (Record), Previous

Comments: No changes this week as we head into district play with Millard South a unanimous No. 1 by the Class A coaches.

Comments: Waverly adds a win over Beatrice to move up to No. 6 as we head into sub-district play on Monday and Tuesday. The top-five remain unchanged.

Comments: The top-6 teams will play unranked teams in district final play on Friday, while Gothenburg will host Scotus and Milford will host Yutan for. trip to state. Minden (RV) was a casualty of the wild card and is out of the district final round.

Comments: Ponca claims the top spot after a sub-district final win over then-No. 1 Crofton. Bergan re-enters after earning a wild card and taking No. 4 Oakland-Craig to the buzzer in sub-district play. Bergan will face No. 6 Southern Valley in a district final.

Comments: Centura nabs the top-spot after defeating wild card S-E-M and then No. 1 Ravenna in sub-district play. Some intriguing district finals as EPPJ will face Maywood-Hayes Center and BDS will travel to Johnson-Brock.

Comments: Wynot jumps to 5th after a win over Humphrey St. Francis in the sub-district final. Previously, HSF had beaten No. 10 Howells-Dodge in a semifinal. Now, H-D and HSF will get one more crack at each other in a district final.
