Omaha Central 2022 guard Jayden Dawson led Nebraska Supreme 17UAA to a big win over Buddy Buckets with 27 points Saturday at Speedway Sports Complex in Lincoln.

Dawson’s big game leads Nebraska Supreme 17UAA past Buddy Buckets


Behind 27 points and seven 3s from 6-foot-4 2022 guard Jayden Dawson (Omaha Central), Nebraska Supreme 17UAA picked up an 81-71 win over Buddy Buckets on Saturday in Prep Hoops Tournament action in Lincoln.

Dawson and 2021 guard Kwat Abdelkarim (North Star) helped Supreme take a 42-27 edge at halftime. Abdelkarim netted 11 points in the first half and finished with 13 for the game while Dawson poured in 11 of his 27 in the opening half. Chandler Meeks (Omaha Westside) added six of his 10 points in the first half as well.

Ben Hunzeker (Lincoln Southwest) and Daniel Brocaille (Papillion-La Vista South) chipped in with nine and eight points, respectively. Tony Osburn (Mound City, Mo.) also scored eight points for Supreme off the bench and hit a couple of 3s. Supreme made 14 3s in the win.

Supreme 17UAA will take on Old School Wing on Saturday night at 6:40 p.m.
