Wednesday was the first day the class of 2024 could have direct contact with Division I basketball coaches per NCAA rules.

NCAA rules permit college basketball coaches to make unlimited calls and text to recruits on June 15 after their sophomore year. That means calls, texts and direct messages on social media for the first time in many of the prospects lives.

A number of prospects will be participating in the D1 Midwest Basketball Showcase in suburban Kansas City (June 17-18).
