The Millard South Patriots improved to 2-0 on the season with a 6-1 win over the Lincoln Southwest SilverHawks in Lincoln on Wednesday.

Millard South outhit Southwest 9-5 in the game and got two RBI doubles from seven-hole hitter Braden Cannon. Southwest’s Will Johnson went 2-for-2 at the plate with an RBI single and a walk.

Millard South starting pitcher Nate Moquin struck out two with two walks in five innings of work. Southwest’s Dylan Cox struck out three and gave up five hits in 3 2/3 innings.
