Class D-1 Playoff Roundup: OHP Stuns BDS in Opening Round


Osceola/High Plains went to Bruning and shocked defending D-2 champion BDS 34-22, ending the second-ranked Eagles’ 21-game win streak. Dylan Soule had four touchdowns in the win for OHP who will host Lutheran High Northeast on Wednesday.

After the theatrics in Bruning, the game of the night may have been in Fullerton, where the Warriors got an 11-yard pass from Hunter Haughton to Kyle Knopik in overtime for a 40-34 win.

The win overshadowed two individual performance from the Bears. Quarterback Izac Reifenrath accounted for 379 yards — the Bears had 378 total — and five touchdowns. He also had a blocked punt. Receiver Noah Schutte had 18 catches for 179 yards.
