Class C-2 Quarterfinals: Centennial Escapes With Win Over BRLD


Class C-2 will have the top four seeds in the playoff field competing in the NSAA football semifinals after all four secured victories on Friday night.

Top-seeded Centennial had the biggest scare of the night, but got a touchdown run from Caleb Horne with under a minute left in the game to seal a 33-28 victory over BRLD.

Horne rushed for three touchdowns on the night while Centennial quarterback Wyatt Ehlers passed for 261 yards. BRLD quarterback Will Gatzmeyer threw for 257 yards on the night.

Centennial will face Oakland-Craig in the semifinals after the Knights defeated Wilber-Clatonia 35-21.

Norfolk Catholic defeated St. Paul 56-12 on Friday night and will face Sutton in the semifinals after Sutton downed David City Aquinas 46-21 this evening.
