Class C-1 Playoff Roundup: Ashland-Greenwood, Bishop Neumann Get Upset Wins


On a night where there weren’t many upsets in the Nebraska high school football playoffs, Class C-1 produced two of them Friday.

11th-seeded Ashland-Greenwood upset sixth-seeded Lincoln Lutheran 34-13 while 10th-seeded Bishop Neumann took a 42-28 win over seventh-seeded Auburn.

Brandon Blum scored four touchdowns and had 164 rushing yards for Bishop Neumann in its upset of Auburn.

Ashland-Greenwood lost at home 26-21 to Lincoln Lutheran just last week but turned the tables tonight. Hunter Washburn threw for 151 yards and three touchdowns for Ashland-Greenwood
