Omaha Roncalli quarterback Jack Dotzler threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns in the first half to help the Crimson Pride to a stunning 38-14 halftime lead on Scottsbluff Friday night.
However, Dotzler was hurt late in the first half and unable to play the remainder of the night. Scottsbluff took advantage of that situation and cranked its own offense into high gear to score 46 unanswered points to win 60-38.
Keegan Reifschneider caught five touchdown passes from Sebastian Harsh Scottsbluff.
Scottsbluff will face York in the semifinals after the Dukes squeezed out a 23-20 win over Seward when Thomas Ivey’s 34 yard field goal with :22 seconds sailed through the uprights.
Skutt Catholic reached the semifinals while cruising to a 61-6 win over Blair and fifth-seeded Waverly held on to knock off fourth-seeded McCook 36-30.
